The Gundam Barbatos charges back into the spotlight in the MGSD (Master Grade SD) lineup with a fierce new presence—introducing the Iron-Blooded Coating Ver.!

Crafted with layered metallic finishes across its armor, this coated version brings out the rugged, battle-worn essence of Barbatos as it evolved through the chaos of the Calamity War and beyond. The deep grays and jet-black highlights represent the unrelenting spirit of Tekkadan and the hardened edge of war-forged steel.

Originally developed as the 8th of 72 Gundam Frames by Gjallarhorn during the final days of the Calamity War, Barbatos was created to stand against the overwhelming power of autonomous mobile armors like Hashmal. Centuries later, it was unearthed from the Mars desert by Maruba Arkay and used as a power source—until it was awakened once more by Mikazuki Augus during a fateful confrontation with Gjallarhorn.
From there, the Gundam Barbatos became a symbol of Tekkadan’s rise, forged and reforged using parts salvaged from fallen foes. Its evolution continued with key support from Teiwaz engineers and allies like the Montag Company, culminating in multiple upgraded forms for both space and terrestrial warfare.
